Close Pop Up Cards on Click/Tap on Empty Space

Hey I have a bunch of pop up cards on my dashboard and I dislike clicking at the top of my phone to close them.
I tried using the setting to close on every tap but there's times where I want to stay in the same popup even after clicking a button.

Most of the popups have a lot of blank space on my Mobile as they are ordered from top to bottom so I was thinking if there's a chance to create a button to close the popup if I click on any of the empty space. (This is mostly for phone usage)

I understand there is a slide functionality but I personally prefer tapping and also believe it is more intuitive for my non techy wife who would naturally not think about sliding. At least allow the option for both?
