Hello @ludoo and team,
I create this issue as you suggested in #3491
There are several services outside Google Cloud which need to interact with GCP services. An easy but less secure way is to use the service account keys. These long lived keys can be stolen.
An alternative solution is to use temporary keys using Workload Identity Federation.
I am happy to collaborate with you.

Proposed solution
A ready-to-use WIF module is helpful to integrate GCP with other services in a secure way without long lived credentials.
