Stellarium no longer loads Deep Sky Surveys

For the past 3.5 weeks, Stellarium (of varying versions from the past couple years, including the most recent) does not generate a list of Deep Sky Surveys nor does it load surveys when the HiPS button is toggled on.

I've tried Stellarium on Windows 11 (desktop workstation, home server, and two remote rig miniPCs) and MacOS (home laptop) on five different networks (home network, phone hotspot, mobile hotspot device, and two remote observatory networks). Sometimes, Stellarium won't load the surveys on any of my machines, sometimes it'll work one but not the rest, and which machine it works on seems to be random. While it fails for me, sometimes it works on a friend's machine. I've tried running Stellarium stock (without my personal preferences) and with them, the loading of the surveys is an issue in both scenarios.

I'm at a complete loss here. Any advice?

Please show value of astro/toast_survey_host option.

OP wrote about HiPS, not Toast. In any case you have personal preferences even without storing. Not sure if anything was changed lately. Sometimes the list takes just a long time to load. Configuring HiPS parameters is described in SUG chapter 10.

I checked the SUG Ch 10 but didn't see anything that could help except perhaps downloading everything locally (which I very much would like to avoid).

Do http://alasky.u-strasbg.fr/MocServer/query?*/P/*&get=record or https://data.stellarium.org/surveys/hipslist load for you if you open them in your browser?

Yes, both load fine in the browser.

This is what I see most times. On occasion, "DSS Color" will show up by itself. Other times, the whole list will load but checking a survey to be active (and toggling the HiPS button on) does not change the view. Stellarium will show a small rectangle in the bottom right of the frame but no loading progress.

Hello, I can't load HIPS either, seemed to stop loading 4 or 5 days ago. I'm running 25.2.

http://alasky.u-strasbg.fr/MocServer/query?*/P/*&get=record will not load, but I recognize that URL as telescopius was also having issues but has been fixed at least 10 minutes ago when I checked. My guess is this is an issue with the strasbg server.

Make sure DSS color is selected under sky surveys, mine got unselected even though I was never in the dialog. I suspect when it failed to load the option might have been changed? I also have two DSS colored options listed. Selecting DSS colored immediately loaded up the survey as expected so now I'm not sure what the issue is or if it's still ongoing. :)

That URL does not load for me either now, but did 20m ago.

Well the URL that I gave is the only source of data for the list. If it doesn't load, you'll get a list that never gets loaded.
