Daughter tasks behaviour

Is it intended for daughter tasks not to be done even if their father is done?

I think it's a bit confusing. So, is it a bug or just a strange behaviour design?

In daily life, the main task can sometimes be completed without finishing every subtask. However, when the main task is marked as complete, automatically completing its subtasks may result in misleading time tracking. Therefore, if a subtask is created, I believe it would be better for the user to explicitly mark it as completed.

I am open to other suggestions. 👍🏻

Overall it seems there is no 🙅 industry standard.
Personally I like a warning message⚠️ or a settings option⚙️ to set the behaviour.
Both complicate things tho.
And it depends on how parent task calculates its time tracked (haven't looked into it yet)
