Schedule preferred level, or brightness sensor aware

At night I would like the preferred level for volume buttons to be minimum however during the day I would like it to be brighter as I would use it to look through a cupboard or something.

I would like to request one of the three following feature ideas:
Being able to tie the preferred level to either time or have it aware using the devices brightness sensor, or able to integrate with Tasker to receive intents setting the preferred level.

Following my gut feeling, I prefer option 3.
