This is also occurring on the Vivaldi Browser as well (using Chrome extension).

Is this on a fresh install? or have you been using the extension for a while?

For me the issue happens on a fresh installation with firefox and foxyproxy installed. Inspecting the network call from the extension it tries to connect to the TOR site (kagi2pv5bdcxxqla5itjzje2cgdccuwept5ub6patvmvn3qgmgjd6vid.onion) over the HTTP proxy even though the proxy does not support that. My proxy then responds with 500 unable to connect and the extension shows this error.

My solution was to disable the extensions TOR permissions in the firefox extension, so now I have:

• Access your data for sites in the *://kagi.com domain
• Access your data for sites in the *://kagi2pv5bdcxxqla5itjzje2cgdccuwept5ub6patvmvn3qgmgjd6vid.onion domain

And it works. Hope it helps!
