Release version 3.1
The release over Christmas is always a smaller release due to the holidays and this was compounded this time with several runs of the training courses as well as the Scientific Steering Committee and developer workshop meetings.
However that did not stop us adding lots of important improvements throughout Mantid, particularly for plotting, reflectometry, and the addition of support for Integration reports for single crystal diffraction data.
Mac Users Please Note: From this release Mantid requires OS X 10.8 "Mountain Lion" or above. If for some reason you cannot update you may continue to use Mantid v3.0.

Release version 3.0
This major release marks the end of version 1 of the Python API and the beginning of version 2, which has allowed us to implement some nice new features. For example the IPython interpreter is now integrated into Mantid across all platforms as the default script interpreter. This comes along with many other improvements both generally within the framework and for specific techniques.
Mac Users Please Note: This will be the final release that supports OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" or 10.7 "Lion"; from release 3.1 Mantid will require OS X 10.8 "Mountain Lion" or above.

Release 2.6.1
This is a patch release to correct some significant issues since the last full release. The issues with crashing/hanging during a reduction on many instruments in MantidPlot have been fixed. There have been instrument updates for POWGEN & CNCS and a set of other smaller fixes.

This major release of Mantid has delivered many improvements to the instrument view and multi dimensional visualisation as well as a wide range of other improvements and new features.

This is a patch release to correct some significant issues since the last full release. There are updates to include changes to the POWGEN instrument, improvements to the script repository and a few irritating bugs fixed.
