A python script to generate hls streams with ffmpeg

Prerequisites

• Python 3.9 or higher installed on your system.
• FFmpeg on your system PATH.
  • Windows: Download from AnimMouse’s FFmpeg Builds.
  • Linux: Download from John Van Sickle’s FFmpeg Builds.

Usage

• Place a video file and hls.py in the same directory

• Run hls.py with the following command:

python hls.py
