Abstract
Coffeescript is a language that exposes the good parts of JavaScript in a simple way, and compiles to Plain Old JavaScript™. It will change the way you think about JavaScript, reduce the amount of code you need to write, prevent bugs and increase your productivity.
We’ll have a look at how the language is different and the tools that make up the ecosystem.
Most importantly, you’ll find out why you would want to write in coffeescript, or why you wouldn’t.

This would be a beginner talk aimed at introducing attendees to a popular language that compiles down to JavaScript. I'll discuss the benefits, and also the downsides, along with why it may or may not be appropriate to introduce Coffee into your organization or stack.
