Description of issue

The Homebrew version of isync (the tool is mbsync) isn't compiled with OAuth2 support, which makes it impossible to sync with actual email providers using the tool.

This is the relevant output of mbsync --help:

What do you suggest we do? Maybe turn on HAVE_LIBSASL?

OAuth2 support requires two components: compile-time SASL support and a runtime xoauth2 plugin.

For the formula, I don't think adding cyrus-sasl as a dependency and passing --with-sasl=#{Formula["cyrus-sasl"].opt_prefix} (with HAVE_LIBSASL enabled) would be sufficient to configure the compile-time piece.

The missing part appears to be the runtime plugin. Should Homebrew create a separate cyrus-sasl-xoauth2 formula from here (the maintained standard used by Arch Linux, Alpine, FreeBSD, and MacPorts) that installs the plugin into cyrus-sasl's plugin directory? Then isync would depend on this formula.

Users would then get OAuth2 automatically with brew install isync.

Does this architecture work for Homebrew, or would you prefer integrating the plugin build differently?
