Based on the implementation in opentelemetry collector releases. Key changes:

  • Adds the NEW_RELIC_LICENSE_KEY property and environment variable to .wxs to set license key on install
  • Generates installers with unique product upgrade code and component GUIDs for each distribution and FIPS version

TODO:

  • Generate .msi files (prerequisite: goreleaser pro)
  • Generate real GUIDs (currently uses temp values)
  • CI validation
